These earrings are made with:
A blend of hand made coloured porcelain pieces with a gold lustre trim, these pieces are joined to gold filled hooks.
The size is around:
3 mm / 1.4 Inches in length
All lengths are measured from the top of the earring hook the bottom.
〰THINGS TO REMEMBER〰
All of my earrings are handmade in small batches and though great care has been taken to make each piece, there may be subtle variations left by the making process. I believe these 'imperfections' make them all the more special.
The porcelain earrings themselves are lightweight but not fragile. Porcelain, when subjected to very high temperatures, is a very robust material even when it is thin, (much tougher that pearls!)
ANTI-ALLERGIC
The gold dipping process covers each earring stud with a thick 18 carrat gold coat, this is much thincker that the more commonly used plating process. Clients that are extremely sensitive to metals are happy to wear gold filled hooks because they have no allegic reaction to them.
HANDLING & CARE
You can clean the brass elements of your earrings with a silver polishing cloth and the porcelain elements with a moist cotton cloth.
Care for your earrings by keeping them in a jewellery box or pouch away from the sun light when not in use.
They will also last a very long time if they are not worn in the shower or swimming.
